The Zarif collection is produced in Kabul, by local Afghan artisans, practicing the art of "slow production," fostering fair-trade practices and the use of natural dyes. This Jacket is part of Zarif's first Collection: Heritage which was 'inspired and based on recycling vintage garments and antique embroidery works from Afghanistan and Central Asia'.
The jacket itself features a complimentary stripe pattern on the burgundy silk backdrop of gold yellow, white and black stitching. The collar, cuffs, two side pockets and bottom hems then adorned with incredible embroidery patterns in yellow-gold, white and black too. To top it off, the jacket then fastens together in the centre using a stunning handmade replica of an antique coin button for a more defined yet open look.
