Mid-Summer Magic Collection

A couple weeks ago we dropped our brand new collection, Mid-Summer Magic. Rather than just doing a lookbook with all the, might I add, gorgeous pieces in the new collection, I wanted to show you some exclusive behind-the-scenes shots and talk about what went into making this collection a reality!
The Mid-Summer Magic collection is made up of a range of donated, vintage, handmade and one-of-a-kind pieces and was inspired by long summer days, mid-July and hot summer nights (not to quote Lana Del Ray there). Some of the garments come from some super unique brands that you can’t find easily elsewhere. Other ones are from more well-known places – but don’t let that put you off - fast fashion deserves a second lease of life too! Renting these fast-fashion pieces also means that you’ll be saving them from going to landfill (or worse) and, thanks to our partners over at Oxwash, you’ll be helping reduce the amount of micro-plastics coming out of these garments too! If you weren’t quite sold yet, you also get to rent these vintage, handmade and one-of-a-kind garms for a fraction of the price it would cost to buy😉
A lot of the pieces in this collection are gowns, dresses or matching sets – perfect to be dressed up or down for any occasion! We have a range of more casual co-ords and some stunning formal pieces because we wanted to ensure that you have something to wear for any upcoming plans in summer and beyond! We also curated a specific Prom + Graduation (https://www.onewearfreedom.com/collections/prom-graduation) collection, which includes a lot of these pieces - would be great for any formal freshers events too. Pictured in this blog we have the Vintage Midnight Disco Co-ord, the Imperial Grecian Gown and Lime + Crystal Straight Up Dress (just so happens to be our three favourites💃).
All of the pieces were styled by Jordache, our founder, for the shoot – definitely converted a few models onto Jordache’s signature black lipstick! We let the pieces shine for themselves in our shoots, but as mentioned, they are all very versatile so can be styled in many different ways for casual and special events – even the most formal of gowns! As you can rent these pieces from 4 to 16 days, you can wear the same piece with trainers and a denim jacket during the day and rock it with heels and statement jewellery that same night.
Getting this collection out wasn’t a smooth ride, having 3 shoot days in over 30 degree heat being only one of the *quirks* along the way – but thanks to our incredible models and the hard work of Jordache it all came together in the end!
